"At Dunham, we're all in this together – united as one team. Although we work on different types of projects at Dunham, everybody wants to help each other. We believe in leveraging our collective knowledge and expertise, constantly exchanging ideas and insights."

  1. Leadership

Leadership goes beyond meetings and project approvals. It's about forming personal connections with your team, understanding their goals and interests. It's about checking in on how they're doing and offering support. I prioritize weekly one-on-one meetings and project retrospectives to ensure my team feels heard and connected, not only to me but to each other. Because, ultimately, relationships are the foundation of success.

  2. Innovation

In today’s technology-driven world, it’s important to continue to educate yourself on the latest trends whether it’s design trends or technologies that are available in the engineering space. You have to be able to stay on top of what’s going on in the industry to be able to present the best options to clients and provide the pros and cons of new technology, so clients can make the best decision for their project based on all the information.

  1. Influences

I’ve always had a love for math and science, so when I was looking at college degrees engineering just seemed to fit. Mechanical engineering is a very broad field and can go a lot of different ways, so once I was in college the HVAC and design aspect started to resonate with me. I really liked the idea of designing buildings. There’s something so satisfying about walking through a building after it’s complete and knowing that you were part of its creation.

  2. Sustainability

In our industry, there is a huge focus on energy efficiency, especially in the education market. Because of this, there are new technologies and strategies, such as geothermal, that we’re able to incorporate into our designs and bring to clients. It is exciting to be a part of some of these cool and innovative solutions, as long as they make sense for the project.
