Clinic + Specialty Center

Dunham provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for a new $153M, 377,000 SF outpatient specialty center located adjacent to Hennepin Healthcare Medical Center. This state-of-the-art healthcare facility centrally locates outpatient services that were previously operating throughout various locations on the Hennepin Healthcare campus. These services include primary care clinics, specialty clinics, an outpatient surgery center, a same-day surgery center with seven operating rooms and four GI/endoscopy rooms, and a cancer center with radiation therapy. A large Dental + Oral Surgery clinic provides preventative dental care, specialty care, adult and pediatric care under general anesthesia, and oral surgery. The six-story facility also contains a helipad, two levels of underground parking with a total of 260 stalls, as well as a skyway and tunnel connection to the hospital. Prior to design, our team developed a new master facility plan to address the reorganization of hospital and clinic space across the downtown campus.
